Meet Dr. Gloria Q. Bracey

Dr. Gloria Q. Bracey is a dedicated public servant, community leader, and current member of the Florence 1 School Board. Since being elected in 2022, she has approached her service with integrity, preparation, and a firm commitment to placing students at the center of every decision. She believes effective leadership begins with listening and grows through respectful collaboration among students, families, educators, and the community.

During her tenure, Florence 1 Schools has continued advancing important initiatives, including the construction of the new Savannah Grove Elementary School and the development of the Citadel Leadership Academy at BJT—a Florence 1 School of Innovation that will bring the proud Whirlwinds tradition back to Timmonsville.
